Dr. King's memorial pays honor to him for the work and sacrifices he gave during the decades' long movement. As a group, you will work together to research other individuals who also worked and dedicated their efforts to the movement. Your goal is to choose at least one individual who you believe deserves to be honored alongside Dr. King in the memorial in DC for their hard work and efforts.
You will present your research to your class, providing information of you who have chosen to be incorporated into the memorial and why. You may choose any medium to present your findings (PowerPoint, Prezi, Video, Animoto, etc.).
Be sure to answer the following in your group presentation: Which of their actions do you believe to be the most significant, what were their views and philosophies (did they share the same views as Dr. King or were their beliefs different) and what evidence do you have of their impact on the movement?
